UHC United Hospital Center, part of WVU Medicine, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist - Level I to evaluate and deliver respiratory therapy for neonatal to geriatric patients. You will administer prescribed therapies, operate and troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate with physicians and nurses to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Requirements include a state Respiratory Therapist license, BLS certification within 30 days of hire, and one year of RT experience. Registered RT is preferred.
Provides evaluation of and care for respiratory therapy patients. Administers prescribed respiratory therapeutic services. Performs the duties and responsibilities within the scope of a Respiratory Therapist - Level I, as defined within the job description.
MD: Respiratory Care Practitioner through Maryland Board of Physicians
OH: Respiratory Care Professional through Ohio Board of Medicine
PA: Respiratory Therapist through Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine
WV: Licensed Respiratory Therapist Certified (LRTC) or Licensed Respiratory Therapist Registered (LRTR) through West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care
2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
