Job summary

SDI Inc is seeking a UH-60M Maintenance Test Pilot to perform standardization flights and demonstrate aircraft proficiency at Ft. Rucker, AL.

The role requires extensive PIC hours, rotorcraft certifications, and adherence to Army, Air Force, and company procedures. You will train maintenance staff and ensure airworthiness per directives.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate ability to start, run-up, fly, navigate and land aircraft qualified to operate.
• Must hold valid FAA Commercial Pilot certificate with rotorcraft and instrument ratings.
• Minimum 1000 PIC hours in the aircraft class; 1500 PIC hours total with 500 helicopter hours (250 UH-1H or Bell 205).

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight procedures per directives.
• Conducts ground and hover checks; assesses airworthiness per manuals.
• Troubleshoots aircraft issues and logs findings to improve operations.
• Performs recovery and ferry flights.
• Instructs maintenance personnel for ground run-up and taxi operations.
• Maintains FAA and local flight safety compliance.
• Maintains proficiency in basic flight maneuvers and emergency procedures.
• Briefs and demonstrates operational and emergency procedures to crew.
