Job Summary

The UGE Laborer/Groundman is responsible for preparing and cleaning construction sites, loading/unloading materials, operating equipment, and assisting craft workers. This role supports the construction team and collaborates with department personnel.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare the construction site, removing debris and hazards.
• Assist tradesmen to complete tasks effectively.
• Identify utilities and observe dig crews to prevent hits.
• Maintain and clean equipment.
• Restock trucks with supplies to ensure crews have necessary tools.

Qualifications

Minimum

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred

• 1 year of experience.
• CDL Class A driver's license.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This role operates in the field, requiring extended bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, and twisting. Work may occur in extreme weather conditions. Vision, hand-eye coordination, and color recognition are essential.
