Job summary

Agropur, inc. is seeking an Intake Operator II for our Iowa dairy facility. You will monitor processes and materials to ensure safety and quality of incoming liquid dairy products and operate milk ultrafiltration equipment.

The role includes receiving tankers with correct paperwork, performing safety tests, maintaining documentation, and following strict sanitation and QA procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No experience required; in-house training provided.
• License requirements include Antibiotic Testing and Milk Sampling to be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tankers are sealed and paperwork matches during receiving.
• Sample milk tankers for safety; test temperature, antibiotics and sensory attributes before offloading.
• Complete all documentation accurately and promptly.
• Operate CIP duties as needed and support daily shipping/receiving operations.
• Load and offload liquid dairy products safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to Food Safety/QA policies and report any issues to management.
• Follow Master Sanitation Schedule for the area.
• Maintain clean equipment for milk ultrafiltration processes.

Job description

The Intake Operator II is responsible for monitoring processes, materials and surroundings to ensure safety and quality of incoming liquid dairy product in accordance with applicable compliance and security protocols. The Intake Operator II is also responsible for operating the milk ultra‑filtration equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure tankers are sealed and paperwork matches during receiving.
• Sample milk tankers for food safety; running required temperature, antibiotics and sensory tests prior to offloading product.
• Complete all documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Effectively perform all daily operations associated with shipping and receiving liquid dairy products.
• Conduct Clean In Place (CIP) duties as needed.
• Quickly recognize when factors are outside acceptable parameters.
• Safely and efficiently load and offload liquid dairy products.
• Understand and comply with all Food Safety/Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management.
• Adhere to the Master Sanitation Schedule for assigned area.
• Perform daily operations and clean equipment associated milk ultra‑filtration.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand and troubleshoot product flows.
• Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Food Safety Plan and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point programs.

Education Required

Certification/Licensure Required

• Milk Sampling License: to be obtained within 90 days of hire; in‑house training provided.
