Summary

The Service Tech (Used Vehicle Inspection) position completes vehicle inspections as assigned, adhering to dealership and factory standards. The Service Tech is responsible for maintaining technical knowledge and skills to efficiently and accurately repair vehicles.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  1. Verify vehicle information based on work order, identify damage, missing parts, and mechanical problems by inspecting customer vehicles upon receipt (interior, exterior, odometer, trunk, engine, damage, repair, noise, AC/heater, radio, tires).
  2. Document vehicle condition via condition reports and estimating software.
  3. Take and match multiple damage photos, upload to the image server.
  4. Understand NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy and UVMS standards.
  5. Maintain knowledge of system capabilities, relevant software, and web applications.
  6. Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and driven only for business purposes.
  7. Keep shop area neat; account for all dealership tools at all times.
  8. Stay current with diagnostic methods, service techniques, bulletins, manuals, and publications.
  9. Participate in training and attend factory-sponsored classes.
  10. Communicate regularly with service advisors/dispatchers regarding repair and diagnostic info.
  11. Follow safety protocols; report equipment issues and safety incidents immediately.
  12. Comply with regulations on hazardous waste disposal, OSHA standards, etc.
  13. Safeguard dealership assets and customer data.
  14. Complete required training via the company portal.
  15. Maintain a reliable work schedule.
  16. Uphold ethical business practices and integrity to support the Foundation Automotive brand.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Graduate of vocational trade school in mechanics or equivalent experience.
  3. ASE certification preferred.
  4. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable record.
  5. Successful pre-employment screening.
  6. Authorization to work in the USA.
Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
