Job summary

Avita Health System's Bucyrus Hospital seeks a dedicated Unit Clerk / Patient Care Assistant (UC/PCA) for the MedSurg Department. In this role you will support nursing staff, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, clean patient environment in a busy hospital setting.

Requirements include current BLS certification (or within 30 days) and preference for STNA or nursing assistant experience.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification or within 30 days of hire date.
• Preferred: STNA certification or applicable work-related experience as a nursing assistant.
• Preferred: Previous experience working as a nursing assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of an RN or LPN/LVN.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide for personal care, comfort, and maintain a safe, clean environment.

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Unit Clerk/Patient Care Assistant (UC/PCA) to join our MedSurgDepartment at our Bucyruslocation.

Position Overview

Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of an RN or LPN/LVN. Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, comfort and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group or patients.

Qualifications

Required:

• Current BLS certification or within 30 days of hire date.

Preferred:

• Current Certification as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) or applicable work-related experience working as a nursing assistant.
• Previous experience working as a nursing assistant.
