Job summary

General Atomics in Poway, CA is seeking a UAV Systems Specialist to join the Prototype Integration Group in San Diego. You will work on developing and integrating payloads for unmanned platforms, managing projects, and coordinating tasks across teams.

This role requires technical proficiency in electronics, RF systems, and safety standards. The position is full-time and onsite with occasional travel; DoD clearance is preferred, and relocation support is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2+ years of engineering/military tech experience.
• Formal training in one or more safety disciplines.
• Solid understanding of military or commercial systems and the development process.
• Ability to acquire, interpret, and communicate technical data.

Responsibilities

• Apply electrical and RF theory to troubleshoot circuits and systems.
• Develop acceptance test procedures for electronic systems.
• Set up experiments, calibrate equipment, and collect data.
• Review specifications and establish safety requirements for systems.
• Investigate requirements and propose solutions meeting safety and performance standards.
• Document procedures, reports, and training materials.
