Job summary

DC Army National Guard in Washington state seeks an Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operator to pilot military drones and relay intelligence to combat teams.

You will train in flight operations, ISR tasks, and mission planning while supporting national defense and state duties with part-time service and civilian benefit opportunities.

Qualifying enlistment is required with age 17–35, high school diploma or GED, and physical fitness standards; comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• ISR simulation missions experience
• Ability to prepare maps, charts and intelligence reports
• Experience analyzing aerial photographs
• Comfort using computer systems
• Interest in remote/radio controlled vehicles
• Strong information organization and interpretation
• Ability to think clearly and write well
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Conduct air reconnaissance, surveillance, targeting, and acquisition missions
• Plan and analyze flight missions
• Perform preflight, in-flight, and post-flight checks and procedures
• Launch and recover airframe from runway
• Perform maintenance on communications equipment, power sources, vehicles and crane operations
