Job summary

Colorado State University is seeking a Part-time Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Instruction/Technician to support the CSU Drone Center education portfolio through in-person training, classroom management, and curriculum development for K-12 and certificate programs.

The role includes field work in UAS mapping, photogrammetry, and aerial photography/videography, with potential deployments to state and federal agencies, and airfield management support.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification (sUAS) and maintenance of certification for at least one year.
• Experience with UAS software and hardware, including production DJI and Skydio systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering Drone Center education programs and logistics.
• Support classroom instruction and curriculum development.
• Pilot UAVs for education missions and monitor flight safety.
• Assist with airfield management and community workshops.
