Zone 5 Technologies is hiring a UAV Avionics Assembler II to build avionics assemblies and wiring harnesses per aerospace standards. You will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operations to support multiple programs, ensuring quality and traceability across production while following AS9100 and FAA requirements.

The role emphasizes precision assembly, use of standard avionics tools, and adherence to safety procedures in a dynamic team environment within the UAS defense/aerospace space.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in electronics, avionics, or precision assembly.
• Proficient in reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and BOMs.
• Experience using standard avionics assembly tools and test equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Assemble avionics components and wiring harnesses per drawings and schematics.
• Perform wire terminations, connector installations, and harness routing to specification.
• Conduct continuity checks and basic functional testing.
• Identify and elevate non-conformances and workmanship issues.
• Maintain accurate as-built documentation and material traceability via MES.
• Adhere to AS9100, FAA, and internal quality requirements.
• Collaborate with quality and manufacturing engineering to resolve discrepancies.
