Job summary

Zone 5 Technologies in Paso Robles, CA, is seeking an UAV Avionics Assembler I to support the assembly of avionics hardware under close supervision. You will learn aerospace manufacturing standards, tools, and documentation while performing basic assembly tasks.

You will work with engineers and production teams to support multiple programs, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely documentation in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 years in electronics, avionics, or precision assembly preferred.
• Ability to read basic assembly drawings and follow written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Assemble basic avionics components and sub-assemblies following work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Perform wire preparation including cutting, stripping, crimping, and labeling.
• Assist with routing, dressing, and securing wiring per defined standards.
• Conduct visual inspections to identify defects or workmanship issues.
• Use basic hand tools and test equipment such as multimeters under supervision.
• Complete assembly work instructions and production documentation.
• Follow ESD, FOD, safety, and quality procedures at all times.
• Support senior assemblers and technicians as needed.

Role Summary

The UAV Avionics Assembler I supports the assembly of avionics hardware and sub-assemblies under close supervision. This role focuses on learning aerospace manufacturing standards, tools, and documentation while executing basic assembly tasks.

This role involves working closely with engineers, production technicians, and operations teams to support multiple programs and value streams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble basic avionics components and sub-assemblies following work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Perform wire preparation tasks including cutting, stripping, crimping, and labeling.
• Assist with routing, dressing, and securing wiring in accordance with defined standards.
• Conduct visual inspections to identify obvious defects or workmanship issues.
• Use basic hand tools and test equipment such as multimeters under supervision.
• Accurately complete assembly work instructions and production documentation.
• Follow ESD, FOD, safety, and quality procedures at all times.
• Support senior assemblers and technicians as needed.

Pay range for this role: $19 USD - $24 USD
