Job summary

Performance Drone Works (PDW) is expanding its GTM team and seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to bridge cutting-edge unmanned systems with customer missions. You will support Account Executives from pre-sales demonstrations to post-deployment support, delivering tailored, high-quality UAS solutions for defense, security, and public safety clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience implementing, operating, and integrating unmanned systems.
• Expertise in UAS roles including system design, payload integration, and flight operations.
• Experience in developing/implementing CONOPS for unmanned systems.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate with proven operational experience.
• Advanced knowledge of UAS hardware, software integration, and payloads (LiDAR, cameras, sensors).
• Knowledge of FPV systems, configuration, integration, and real-time monitoring.
• Expertise in UAS Ground Control Software (QGC) and related platforms.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs., perform in demanding environments, and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Apply CONOPS to design and implement operational frameworks for UAS solutions.
• Collaborate with Account Executives to identify customer requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Lead demonstrations of unmanned systems, including UAS platforms, LiDAR, and photogrammetry tools.
• Conduct technical discovery to gather UAS requirements and translate to deliverables.
• Design and oversee scalable, regulatory-compliant unmanned solutions.
• Develop responses to RFIs/RFPs with unmanned technologies and integration.
• Manage field operations from pre-deployment to post-deployment.
• Oversee airspace requests and compliance with FAA Part 107 and regulations.
• Mentor Junior Solutions Engineers through hands-on training.
