Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Research Analyst / UAS Pilot to support the FAA's Airport Research Division at the Atlantic City site. You will evaluate concepts and approaches for using unmanned aircraft to improve airport safety and efficiency.

The role requires Part 107 certification with 100+ documented flight hours and FAA suitability background; you will develop flight test plans, briefing materials, and coordinate with manufacturers, regulators, and industry

Qualifications

• Education: Not Required
• Required Experience: Must be Part 107 Certified and have 100-plus documented hours of safely operating UAS platforms.
• Security Clearance Level: FAA Suitability Background
• Required Skills and Abilities: Part 107 Certified.
• Preferred Skills: Experience using flight planning software
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in any field.

Responsibilities

• Develop flight test plans and procedures for UAS operations.
• Develop briefing and training materials to support flight operations.
• Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, industry groups, and regulators to integrate UAS into NAS.
• Ensure integration of UAS into NAS without reducing existing capacity or safety.
