Job summary

AEVEX Aerospace is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic/Crew Chief to perform ground and flight operations, maintenance on unmanned systems, and maintenance records management in a training and flight test environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with high-performance flight line operations, safety, and proficiency with aircraft checklists (paper and digital). FAA certs and deployment eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with aircraft systems, subsystems and theory of operation.
• Experience with aircraft technical manuals and fault isolation.
• Experience with ROTAX 91X engines preferred.
• Composite/fiberglass fabrication and repair experience highly desired.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Ability to work cohesively in a high performing team environment.
• Must be eligible to deploy to CENTCOM AOR/OCONUS.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground and flight operations, maintenance on unmanned aircraft systems and subsystems.
• Maintain airworthiness by completing daily ground servicing and maintenance actions.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and follow-up maintenance as required.
• Maintain digital and paper maintenance and configuration logs.
• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical systems per schematics and fault isolation manuals.
• Inspect structures and laminates for defects and perform repairs as needed.
• Provide quality control and procedure verification on maintenance manuals.
• Offer logistics and QA recommendations as needed.
• Collaborate with deployed team to meet maintenance and flight operation objectives.
• Utilize emerging software for maintenance documentation and flight operations.
