Job summary

Insitu is seeking a UAS Operator to operate and maintain unmanned aircraft systems across platforms and deliver mission video and data. You will coordinate customer missions, provide high-touch support, and may deploy globally to support missions.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in UAS, strong communication, and the ability to work in field environments with customers. A DoD clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating or maintaining UAS platforms.
• Direct customer support experience in field environments.
• Strong customer service background and excellent communication.
• Willingness to deploy to remote/as austere environments for 4–6 months; travel up to 70%.

Responsibilities

• Operate unmanned aircraft systems per checklists and safety protocols.
• Preflight planning including weather, NOTAMs and airspace requirements.
• Evaluate customer mission requirements and operational needs.
• Collect and analyze flight data; complete post-mission reports/logs.
• Collaborate with team and customers to plan and execute UAS missions.
• Test, troubleshoot and maintain UAS and ground support equipment.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts to resolve out-of-scope issues.
• Inventory UAS spares/components and report cycle counts.
