Job summary
AmeriCorps is seeking tutors and mentors to support mathematics learning at school sites and via Zoom sessions. Roles include Tutor, Mentor, and Team Leader with substantial on-site hours and online tutoring components.
Training and supervision are provided, with a focus on educational outcomes and student engagement. Participants complete service hours and may receive an education award, living allowance, and stipends.
Qualifications
- Team-based tutoring and mentoring in mathematics.
- Ability to guide students through math concepts and problem solving.
- Strong communication and mentoring skills to support student growth.
Responsibilities
- Members will tutor and mentor students in mathematics.
- Support school site activities and Zoom tutoring sessions as needed.

Job description
Tutor mentors can serve as 100 and 300 hr members at school sites and through Zoom tutoring. Student Teaching members can serve 450 hours at school sites primarily with 1 Zoom tutoring session per week. Team Leaders serve 675 hours on site in team leadership capacities as well as on site in classrooms and with at least 2 Zoom tutoring sessions. School Engagement Specialists serve 1200-1700 hours entirely in person at a single school site.
Members will tutor and mentor students in mathematics.
Education award upon successful completion of service, Living Allowance, Stipend.
Car recommended, Uniforms provided and required.
