Ampact is hiring Math Tutors for the 2026-27 school year in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Math Tutor, you will help students improve their math skills in a supportive school environment, with training provided.

The role requires you to lead tutoring sessions, track student progress, and participate in your own growth through coaching. The positions are full-time or part-time, with daytime hours from Monday to Friday.

Position Summary

Math multiplies a student’s future opportunities, and we’re on a mission to make sure every student has the skills they need to succeed!

Join Math Corps as a Math Tutor and you’ll spend your days at a local school helping students improve their skills. Not a math whiz? Not a problem – we’ll train you to deliver proven activities and coach you every step of the way!

How does it work? Every school day you’ll see groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes of math practice. When your time together is up, you’ll help your students return to their classroom(s) and pick up your next group for tutoring. You’ll repeat until all your students are served.

With the extra attention and support, incredible growth happens. As your students build their skills and confidence, you’ll be there to encourage, celebrate, and cheer them on!

Essential Qualifications

• Dependable and have a history of good attendance
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
• Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
• 18 years of age or older with a highschool diploma or equivalent
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
• Ability to successfully complete a background check

Schedule

We are currently hiring for the 2026-27 school year. Positions run August 2026-June 2027.

• 35 Hours per week (less in weeks with holidays or school release days)
• Daytime hours (correspond with school start and end times)
• Monday-Friday (no weekends)
• Time off on holidays and school release days

Part‑time positions are also available at 25 hours per week.
