Program Summary

The KBR UABOS Program provides comprehensive BASE OPERATING SUPPORT – INSTALLATION (BOS-I) services at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey. These services are delivered to support the 39th Air Base Wing, mission partners, and tenant units, encompassing a diverse range of personnel including transient, temporary duty (TDY), permanent party, and rotational personnel. The program ensures the seamless functioning of operations, maintenance, and support activities essential for the sustained mission readiness and operational effectiveness of UABOS and its associated units.

Job Summary

The UABOS (Turkey) Vehicle Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing minor and preventive maintenance on Government-owned vehicles (GOVs), both in-shop and via mobile support, in accordance with Air Force Instructions (AFIs) and performance standards. This role includes completing work order requests, maintaining logs (QA, call, and outgoing), and providing accurate maintenance data to supervisors. The technician will coordinate all maintenance activities with Customer Service and Fleet Management & Analysis teams, and will operate a variety of light and heavy-duty vehicles, including buses, trucks with trailers, forklifts, and recovery vehicles. Additional duties include supporting personal security missions, enforcing safety and environmental compliance, and assisting with special projects or tasks assigned by leadership. This position requires the ability to work in a high-tempo environment supporting mission-critical operations that may require a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle maintenance tasks in support of missions requiring a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • Support vehicle management operations, including dispatch and fleet services, in accordance with classified mission requirements.
  • Execute all assigned tasks in compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), Technical Orders, and applicable Air Force standards.
  • Respond promptly to customer service requests and coordinate mobile maintenance activities to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist with in-shop vehicle repairs during periods of increased workload or staffing shortages.
  • Promote and enforce safety and environmental compliance standards within the maintenance facility.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for vehicle maintenance activities, including service logs, QA records, and maintenance metrics.
  • Operate various vehicles—including light-duty, heavy-duty, and specialty recovery equipment—for transport and maintenance support functions.
  • Provide logistical vehicle support for personal security details and other operational requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including support for special company projects and cross-functional team efforts as directed by leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • Shall meet the qualifications of AFSC 2T351, Vehicle Management Journeyman as defined in AFMAN 36-2100, Airman Classification.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U.S. Driver’s License (minimum “C” Class)
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five (5) years vehicle maintenance experience.
  • Must hold and active DoD secret clearance or be able to obtain this clearance prior to deployment and must maintain such clearance for the duration of employment in this role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Automotive Science.
  • Eight (8) years vehicle maintenance experience
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC), and gain access to the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS)
