JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: UABOS Spain: Environmental Specialist

Program Summary

KBR will sustain the operational well-being of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base (Spain), Incirlik Air Base, Izmir Air Station, and various facilities in Turkey. Our services encompass program management, civil engineering, morale and recreation support, postal operations, safety services, logistics, and more. With a five-year base period and three one-year options, KBR ensures these bases operate smoothly, allowing deployed personnel to focus on mission execution.

Job Summary

Monitor and dispose of all WRM hazardous materials/wastes in accordance with applicable host nation laws, Final Governing Standards (FGS), and Morón AB hazardous waste and spill plans. Ensure 100% compliance with hazardous material storage and handling guidelines. Follow DAFI21-101 and ensure compliance with hazardous material and waste management standards. Adhere to AFI 90-821, Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) Program. Follow Safety, and Occupational Health Management System/Environment Management System (ESOHMS/EMS) policies and applicable environmental requirements. Obtain Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for chemicals received, unless already available in EESOH-MIS and Enterprise Data Repository. Ensure all hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals are properly labeled and stored. Provide customer service to department, company, and government personnel. Strictly adhere to US Air Force Technical Orders and Safety Directives.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Hazardous waste storage monitor.
  2. Seal and label drums filled with waste petroleum, oils, and lubricants. Oil greasy rags, soaked spill pads, crushed oil and hydraulic fluid cans, etc.
  3. Transport hazardous waste sealed drums with appropriate paperwork to base collection point.
  4. Access Enterprise Data Repository for current Safety Data Sheets.
  5. Ensure 100% adherence to hazardous material storage and handling guidelines.
  6. Operate general hand tools, dollies, equipment tugs, and other shop equipment.
  7. Perform other assigned duties as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. SECRET security clearance.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Windows, Excel).

Qualifications

  • USAF Sheppard AFB cryogenics course graduate.
