Job Description

As a Private Banker, you will advise families on building, preserving, and managing their wealth. Your knowledge of investments, financial planning, credit, and banking will help you advise current clients and acquire new ones. You will be supported by an institutional platform with resources, specialists, and intellectual capital to help you achieve clients’ goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain client relationships by earning trust, understanding needs, providing targeted advice, developing solutions, and delivering exceptional service.
• Generate business results and acquire new assets from existing clients and new prospects.
• Advise clients on their overall balance sheet, including asset allocation, investment management, wealth planning, credit, and banking needs.
• Partner with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise.
• Connect clients across all lines of business of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
• Ensure solutions meet clients' short, medium, and long-term goals through holistic planning.
• Adhere to all risk, control policies, regulatory guidelines, and security measures.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Private Banking or Financial Services.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Series 7, 66, and Insurance licenses required; candidates without licenses considered but must obtain within 90 days.
• Proven sales success and strong business acumen.
• Established community presence and network.
• Understanding of investments, wealth planning, credit, and banking concepts.
• Client-focused with dedication to the client experience.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Proactive, initiative-taking, critical thinking skills.
• Advanced degrees or certifications such as MBA, JD, CFA, or CFP preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and disciplined approach.
• In-depth knowledge of equity, fixed income markets, and alternative investments like Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and Real Estate.
