Scotiabank is seeking a Manager, U.S. Market Risk, based in New York City. You will monitor, report, and manage market risk across FICC desks and collaborate with global teams to enhance risk analytics and dashboards.

The role requires an undergraduate degree with 3+ years in risk management, plus strong skills in Power BI, SQL and Python. Expect daily risk reviews, regulator-ready reporting, and close desk partnerships.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree required, in Finance/Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Math, or hard sciences.
Graduate degrees are welcome, CFA/FRM/PRM an asset but not required.
3+ years of experience in risk management; knowledge of rates risk and related areas helpful.

Responsibilities

Daily reporting and monitoring of U.S. market risk across multiple product groups with specialization in FICC, Rates, and collateral management.
Identify market risk limit breaches and coordinate remediation with the desk and reporting.
Assist with risk reporting enhancements using Power BI, SQL, Python, and other systems.
Collaborate with local and global teams on risk projects and present to the global team.
Prepare monthly/quarterly risk reporting used by committees and regulators.
Create CRO dashboards and ad-hoc risk insights for management.
