Job summary

TD is seeking a U.S. Infrastructure CTO (iCTO) to lead infrastructure strategy for the U.S. business, reporting to the U.S. CIO. This senior executive role focuses on automation, reliability, and clear ownership across complex technology environments to enable rapid, secure delivery.

The iCTO will shape priorities, drive modernization, partner with risk and audit teams, and ensure regulatory and GSIB compliance while delivering measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Senior executive experience leading technology, infrastructure, or platform organizations.
• Experience leading organizations of ~200 people.
• Strong understanding of GSIB banking environments and regulatory expectations.
• Proven track record owning outcomes, not just coordination.
• Experience modernizing delivery models through automation and standardization.

Responsibilities

• Act as embedded member of the U.S. CIO leadership team and participate in planning and decision-making.
• Be the single accountable executive to the U.S. CIO for all infrastructure outcomes, including delivery, stability, resiliency, risk, and cost.
• Advise on options and future direction, not just execute requests.
• Own infrastructure performance outcomes for the U.S. segment, including speed to market and incident reduction.
• Lead and influence a large organization of 200+ people.
• Oversee Production Readiness & Resilience Test Engineering across all technology segments.
• Set clear priorities, expectations, and standards across teams while balancing immediate delivery and long-term sustainability.
• Build leadership bench strength and talent development in a large executive organization.
• Drive modernization by reducing manual work and increasing automation.
• Clarify ownership, intake, escalation paths, and decision rights.
