Job summary

U-Haul, located in Woburn, MA, seeks a friendly and energetic warehouse worker to support customers and keep operations running smoothly. The role includes forklift operation, loading/unloading containers, and ensuring on-time deliveries.

Part-time, 28 hrs/week with a schedule Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat 2pm-7pm; Days off: Wed & Sat? actually Sun. Starting pay is $20/hr, with compensation range of $16-$18 per hour and benefits if eligible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to follow local, state, and federal vehicular regulations while driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility.
• Ensure timely delivery and assist customers with purchases and dispatch systems.
• Perform inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.
• Prepare and provide necessary documentation for delivery or pickup.
• Keep the warehouse storage facility clean, dry, and secure.

Compensation Range: $16.00 to $18.00 Hourly Location: 31 Olympia Ave, Woburn, Massachusetts 01801 United States of America

Schedule: Part time 28 hrs/week, Mon, Tues, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 2pm-7pm

Days off: Wednesday & Sunday (Schedule may shift on busy End of the Month weekends)

Starting Pay: $20/hr

Candidates with forklift experience are preferred, must be willing to learn.

Warehouse Worker Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility.
• Ensure timely delivery.
• Provide customer assistance, including the sale of support items and use of online dispatch and rental systems.
• Perform customer-ready inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.
• Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods.
• Ensure that the warehouse storage facility is clean, dry and secure.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Warehouse Worker Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a good driving record
• Adhere to all local state (provincial) and federal vehicular regulations while driving

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationery, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
