Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Warehouse Worker to assist customers with friendly, energetic service at the Saint Paul location. Responsibilities include operating a forklift, loading/unloading containers, and ensuring timely deliveries.

You will assist customers with sales of support items, perform inspections, and manage documentation for deliveries or pickups. Training and ongoing education through U-Haul University are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Compliance with local, state and federal regulations while driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift or truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers onto/off truck beds for delivery to/from storage facilities.
• Ensure timely delivery and provide customer assistance, including sales of support items and use of dispatch/rental systems.
• Perform customer-ready inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.
• Prepare, receive and provide documentation for delivery or pickup of goods.
• Keep warehouse storage facility clean, dry and secure.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Warehouse Worker Primary Responsibilities:

Warehouse Worker Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a good driving record
• Adhere to all local state (provincial) and federal vehicular regulations while driving

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationery, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
