Job summary

Garver is seeking a Texas Squad Leader for the WI-MAP team. The role supervises engineers and PMs delivering water, wastewater, stormwater, and reuse projects across Texas.

You will lead in hydraulic modeling, master planning, data analysis, and infrastructure evaluations, guiding staff and ensuring alignment with goals and client priorities. The position reports to the WI-MAP Practice Area Leader and is part of the WI-MAP Leadership Team, with locations in Fort Worth, Dallas, Austin, San

Qualifications

• > Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• > Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• > Minimum of 8+ years in water/wastewater/stormwater infrastructure planning, incl. at least 2 years in master planning or hydraulic modeling.
• > At least 2 years mentoring and/or supervising engineering or technical staff.

Responsibilities

• > Supervise and support a team of engineers and project managers.
• < Provide technical guidance and review for modeling, planning, data analysis, and infrastructure evaluation projects.
• < Monitor workload and assign project responsibilities to ensure appropriate staff utilization.
• < Support the development of scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans for planning-phase projects.
• < Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of water, wastewater and stormwater master plans, hydraulic models, and design support studies.
• < Facilitate knowledge sharing, mentoring, and technical training opportunities for team members.
• < Coordinate across departments to support seamless transitions from planning to design phases.
• < Contribute to the preparation and quality control of proposals and planning deliverables.
• < Review project metrics and provide updates to leadership on a routine basis.
• < Participate in internal quality assurance reviews and support best practices.
• < Identify resource needs and support recruitment/onboarding.
