Job Title: Journeyman Electrician: Commercial

Sign-On Bonus: $1500 Eligibility

Job Description

Summary/Objectiv: The Journeyman Electrician position involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining facilities in accordance with safety standards and maintenance systems to support customer business goals. We provide a company vehicle, fuel, maintenance, and a phone. Benefits include paid vacations, sick days, holidays, and voluntary health and insurance plans.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, fixtures, using hand and power tools.
  • Diagnose system malfunctions using test equipment and tools, locate causes, and correct issues.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
  • Work on residential and commercial new installations and remodeling projects.
  • Inspect electrical systems for hazards, defects, and compliance with codes.
  • Test electrical systems and circuit continuity.
  • Complete final connections and document work with photos and detailed reports, submitting paperwork physically and via email.
  • Utilize company phone, apps, email, and communicate effectively.
Essential Functions
  • Install and maintain facilities, providing emergency and scheduled repairs.
  • Perform service repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Read manuals and work orders, diagnose problems, replace parts, and perform adjustments.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and various repair functions.
  • Use tools, meters, and equipment, report faults, and maintain safety and cleanliness.
  • Capture before and after photos, check in/out on systems, and submit vehicle condition reports.
  • Maintain insurability, good attendance, and proper time recording. Answer phones as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role has no supervisory duties.

Work Environment

Combination of office, warehouse, outdoor, and shop settings, exposed to dust, fumes, odors, and noise.

Physical Demands

Active position requiring standing, walking, bending, lifting over 75 lbs, and various visual and physical capabilities.

Position & Hours

Full-time, with on-call duties and overtime availability, dependent on service schedule.

Travel

Travel required with company vehicle and fuel card.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Electrical Journeyman License.
  • High school diploma or GED, with apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
Additional Qualifications
  • Strong background in at least two skill sets: Electrical, Plumbing, Drywall, Painting, Flooring, Carpentry, Locks.
  • Own tools, pass drug and background checks.
