Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking an experienced OB/Gyn locum tenens physician in Texas to provide both inpatient and outpatient care, including high- and low-risk obstetrics, deliveries, and gynecologic procedures. The role requires on-call responsiveness, ultrasound interpretation, and FHR analysis.

Responsibilities include performing vaginal deliveries, C-sections, VBACs, breech births, and open/laparoscopic gynecologic surgeries while covering leave periods and maintaining continuity of care

Qualifications

• 2nd call/backup with 30-minute response time
• 5 calls per call ratio
• 3-5 patients per shift; inpatient and outpatient required
• Approx. 200 deliveries per year
• High and low risk OB including vaginal, C-section, VBAC, breech
• Surgical gyn including open, laparoscopic, and major
• FHR interpretation, OB ultrasound, and office gyn procedures required
• Leave coverage

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient OB/Gyn care with prompt on-call response
• Deliveries and obstetric procedures as needed
• Gyn surgical support including open and laparoscopic cases
• Perform FHR interpretation and OB ultrasounds as required
• Provide leave coverage to ensure uninterrupted patient care
