Job summary

Agape Montessori School seeks an Assistant Teacher for the two-year-old classroom to support a nurturing, orderly Montessori environment for 14 toddlers. You will work with the Lead Teacher to prepare activities, observe development, and maintain safety and routines.

Requirements include a high school diploma, background in early childhood education, and a willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid, and state health and safety training; Montessori certification sponsorship is provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Background in early childhood education; prior Montessori classroom experience preferred.
• Certifications: CPR, First Aid, and state-required Health & Safety training (provided by our school).
• Clearances: Background check and compliance with Kansas Office of Early Childhood regulations.

Responsibilities

• Environment Preparation: Set up, organize, and maintain Montessori materials for 2-year-olds.
• Classroom Support: Assist Lead Teacher with daily routines, meal/snack, outdoor play, and transitions for 14 children.
• Child Observation: Observe and document development to assist individualized plans.
• Community & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe classroom and foster positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
