Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Vehicle Delivery Driver in Charlotte, NC, to bridge online purchases and home delivery, ensuring a seamless customer experience. You will operate a two-car hauler, assist with paperwork, and hand over keys while upholding safety standards and professional communication.

The role requires 21+ years old with a valid license; Class B CDL preferred; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; and DOT Medical Card within 28 days. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Class B CDL preferred; additional state-specific endorsements may apply (e.g., Illinois Class C, Indiana “For Hire,” Louisiana Chauffeur’s License, Mississippi Class D Commercial).
• Clean driving record with no more than 6 penalty points in the last three years.
• 1+ year of customer service experience and 1+ year of delivery driving experience or CarMax experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate a manual transmission, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must possess or obtain a DOT Medical Card within 28 days of hire.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with adherence to CarMax policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a two-car hauler to deliver vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Load, transport, and unload vehicles at designated locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Facilitate home delivery transactions, including paperwork and customer handoff.
• Provide outstanding customer service, interacting with customers and team members professionally.
• Perform condition checks and verify vehicles meet CarMax cosmetic standards before delivery.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections to maintain safety and operational excellence.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with company requirements.
