Job summary

Tarkett in Dalton, Georgia, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the Twisting department, organize shift schedules, and ensure safe, efficient operation of building systems. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, problem solving, and staff development within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance tasks, training team members, monitoring attendance, and enforcing health and safety policies while driving continuous improvement and safe operation of lift

Qualifications

• 1–3 year experience preferred in any manufacturing and maintenance.
• Knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Twisting experience is required.

• Manage the flow of day-to-day operations in the Twisting department.
• Organizing shift schedules for team members
• Monitoring attendance, tardiness, and time off
• Assigning duties to specific employees based on role and skills.
• Supervising employees and assisting with tasks as necessary
• Training new and current team members on tasks
• Adhering to company policies and health, safety, and employment standards
• Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.
• Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed.
• Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Drive and perform lift truck safety inspection checklist daily.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
