Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Twister Operator for the C shift in Chatsworth, GA. The role involves setting up and tending yarn-twisting machinery, loading yarns, and ensuring safe, efficient production.

You will monitor output, perform quality checks with black light, and follow all safety procedures while supporting housekeeping and on-the-job training. Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, be comfortable with basic math, and have prior yarn or manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Health and safety training completed.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend to many machines organized into a frame that twist yarn together.
• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management
