Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Twin-Ax Cable Product Engineer in Nashua, NH. You will own high-speed copper cable assemblies, guiding products from concept through NPI to volume manufacturing, ensuring reliability and manufacturability.

This role blends hands-on design with data-driven analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and customer-facing technical support. Travel ~10% domestically and internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in interconnects, high-speed cables, or electronic product design for manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CAD (Pro/E/Creo), FEA tools, and mechanical analysis methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using Excel, Minitab, Matlab/Octave, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and mechanical design fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical owner for Twin-Ax cable assemblies ensuring quality and reliability.
• Lead tolerance analysis, FEA, material evaluations, and failure analysis.
• Plan and execute Phase Gate/NPI activities including prototype builds and validation tests.
• Collaborate with Signal Integrity team to optimize performance and reliability.
• Support manufacturing transitions to volume production and supplier coordination.
