Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions in Nashua, NH is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Hi-Speed Cable team. You will support design and development to optimize manufacturability, cost, and efficiency across the production lifecycle.

The role requires 2–5 years of process/manufacturing engineering experience, knowledge of Creo or SolidWorks, and strong MS Office skills. Domestic/international travel of 10–15% is expected to support tool design and validation.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a Process/Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Creo or SolidWorks for design and validation.
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel and related MS Office tools.
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts.
• Experience with PCBA SMT and/or soldering preferred; telecom cable assemblies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of Hi-Speed Cable products to optimize manufacturability (quality, cost, efficiency).
• Define, source, and implement equipment/tooling for Nashua-based assemblies to support early sample builds.
• Evaluate and implement elements from customer specifications for cable assembly customization.
• Develop, support, and optimize the manufacturing process in Nashua.
• Assist in design, procurement, and debug of fixtures and tooling.
• Document process details and drive transfer of tools to volume sites.
• Travel domestically and internationally 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Support Design and Development of new Hi-Speed Cable products to optimize manufacturability. (Quality, Cost, Efficiency)

• Evaluate, understand, and implement elements from customer specifications that define required cable assembly customization
• Develop, support, and optimize Hi-Speed cable assembly manufacturing process in Nashua
• Assist in design, procurement, and debug of fixtures and tooling
• Establish and document process details. Drive transfer of manufacturing tools and processes to volume manufacturing sites
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-15%

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as Process/Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of solid modeling tools, (Creo, SolidWorks, etc.)
• Working knowledge of MS Suite of products (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of statistical concepts
• Experience with PCBA SMT and/or soldering preferred
• Experience in the design and assembly of telecommunication cable assemblies preferred
