Job summary

GardaWorld Security is seeking a Tactical Security Officer to patrol and protect facilities in Houston, TX. The role emphasizes vigilance, quick threat response, and access control across diverse environments.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of security experience, a valid U.S. work authorization, and the ability to pass a comprehensive screening. Uniforms are provided and a strong benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• First aid certification is an asset.
• Must be 21 or older.
• At least 1 year of security experience or similar.
• Must have an active hard copy security license.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
• Gate access control.

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

Qualifications of Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of a High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have a valid TWIC Card (Hard copy in hand, not expired)
• Must be 21 or Older
• Must have at least 1 year of security experience or similar
• Must pass 10-year background and driving screening
• Must past Reid or equivalent test
• Must have an active hard copy security license
