Job summary

WFMJ-TV in Youngstown, Ohio is seeking a full-time Master Control Operator/Technical Director who is prepared for a very flexible schedule, including weekends and varying weekday hours.

You will operate Master Control and Ross Overdrive automation, code newscasts, support training on industry software, and coordinate with producers to direct talent and guests as Technical Director.

Qualifications

• Computer skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Strong timekeeping and organizational abilities.
• Prior experience in Master Control/Technical Directing is preferred but not required.

Overview

WFMJ-TV is seeking a full-time Master Control Operator/Technical Director who is willing to work a very flexible schedule that includes weekends and various hours during the week.

Responsibilities

• Operate switching and automation equipment in Master Control along with operating Ross Overdrive production automation equipment in the Control Room.
• Perform master control operation, remote feeds, syndication acquisition and segmenting shows/spots using Florical.
• Code newscasts and local shows as required.
• Support training on industry-specific software as needed.
• Communicate with producers to direct talent and guests in the role of Technical Director.

Qualifications

• Computer skills, timekeeping, and the ability to organize and multi-task.
• Prior experience in Master Control and Technical Directing is strongly preferred but not required.
