Job summary

The Tutorverse, LLC in New York, NY is seeking a Private Tutoring Operations Coordinator to run the day-to-day logistics of our one-on-one programs, match students with tutors, schedule sessions, and serve as the main contact for private clients.

The role supports tutor hiring and onboarding, monitors program delivery, and works with leadership to improve workflows across the tutoring lifecycle. Hours are generally 9:00am–6:00pm ET, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
• At least 2 years coordinating teams and managing multi-step workflows.
• At least 2 years improving administrative or operational processes.
• At least 2 years in a client-facing or customer service role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to solve problems independently and follow through.

Responsibilities

• Schedule lessons, match students with tutors, and track progress.
• Identify gaps in tutor capacity and resolve them quickly.
• Recruiting, onboarding, placing, and evaluating instructors.
• Communicate with families to answer questions and set expectations.
• Coordinate with internal staff to keep processes running smoothly.
