Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a Tutor to provide instructional support in an elementary or secondary learning environment under the supervision of the principal.

You will deliver educational lesson plans and instructional materials, monitor student progress, supervise students for safety, and perform related duties as assigned.

This is a flat-rate hourly, part-time, 9-month position.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job description

General Definition of Work

The Tutor, under general supervision, performs instructional work with minimal decision-making discretion related to implementing a supplemental instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides, and encourages students to support and fulfill their academic goals. Employee performs school-based work to carry out Board of Education policies under the direction of the principal.

The normal place of work is on the premises used by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools reserves the right to require you to work at such other place(s) as it may reasonably require from time to time.
