Sylvan Learning in Lincolnwood, IL, seeks a dedicated tutor to support reading, language arts, and math with personalized instruction for students of various ages. The ideal candidate is a state-certified teacher with a PEL, capable of tailoring lessons to individual needs using proven strategies.

This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, no lesson planning or parent meetings, and opportunities for training and development in a supportive, low-stress environment.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will be a state certified teacher with a PEL (working towards, current, or expired).
• Ability to work 4-12 hours a week between 4-7pm Mon-Thur and/or Saturdays from 10:00am - 2:00pm
• Proficiency in utilizing learning technology to facilitate instruction and improve student engagement.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with diverse learners.
• A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed academically.
• Higher salary for candidates with the ability to teach upper level math and/or ACT/SAT prep.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate tutor to join our educational team! The ideal candidate will have experience tutoring or teaching reading, language arts, and/or math. This role involves working with students of various ages, providing personalized instruction, and utilizing effective teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
