Job summary

AIM Private Clinic is seeking a part-time High School Tutor/Mentor to work in person in San Antonio, TX. You will create session content, mentor students and families, and deliver tutoring with a focus on mentorship and flexible hours.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or are pursuing one, with at least two years of tutoring or teaching experience, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license for local travel. Training and shadowing are offered.

Qualifications

• Two years of tutoring or teaching experience.
• Demonstrates content knowledge for the subject.
• Strong communication with kids and adults.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel in San Antonio area.

Responsibilities

• Be reasonably available for Mentoring Sessions; both in-person and online.
• Be prepared for each Mentoring Session; with lesson plans and/or materials.
• Provide tutoring/educational services in a workmanlike, quality manner.
• Arrange suitable replacements if unable to attend a session.
• Inform AIM Private Clinic of session details (location, date, duration).
• Refer client inquiries to AIM Private Clinic promptly.
• Report any client complaints or disputes to AIM Private Clinic.
• Attend monthly AIM Private Clinic meetings as designated.
• Maintain confidentiality of AIM Private Clinic and clients.
• Submit required documentation; perform additional duties as assigned.

We are focused on Mentorship not just tutoring; this means that developing a trusting relationship with the student and family is just as important as being able to explain a subject in a variety of ways.

Job Summary

High School Tutor/Mentor

You will be expected to create the content for each session and collaborate with students and their families to meet mentorship needs.

Essential Job Functions

• Be reasonably available for Mentoring Sessions; both in-person and online
• Be prepared for each Mentoring Session; with lesson plans and/or session materials
• Use best efforts to provide the tutoring and/or educational services in a workmanlike and quality manner
• Use best efforts to secure a suitable replacement if Contractor is unable to attend a scheduled Mentoring Session
• Inform AIM Private Clinic of the occurrence, location, date, and duration of each Mentoring Session between Contractor and Client
• Refer immediately to AIM Private Clinic any inquiry from Client or any Client referral regarding tutoring and/or educational services
• Inform AIM Private Clinic immediately of any Client complaint, Client dispute or disagreement
• Attend monthly AIM Private Clinic meeting as designated by AIM Private Clinic Administrator(s)
• Maintain Confidentiality of AIM Private Clinic and its clients
• Submit documentation as needed
• Perform additional duties and accept other responsibilities as may be assigned

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or pursuing one (preferred)
• Two years of content-specific tutoring or teaching experience
• Demonstrates content knowledge for the particular subject
• Exhibits both personable and professional communication skills with both kids and adults
• Has a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to travel to sessions in the San Antonio area
• We do offer training and shadowing sessions with an expert-level Mentor to ensure you feel confident going into a session.
• A valid background check will be required in order to work in a public school setting
