Job summary

The Aptus Group is seeking dedicated Tutors to support high school students in math, science, English, and other subjects. This on-site role in Los Angeles offers one-on-one or small group sessions with a focus on understanding, test prep, and study skills improvement.

We value learners who communicate well, show patience, and adapt to individual needs. Prior tutoring is a plus, and the schedule is Full Time aligned with school hours. Weekly pay and benefits are offered to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and ability to adapt teaching methods to students' needs.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to high school students in subjects like math, science, English, and more.
• Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, preparing for tests, and improving study skills.
• Adapt tutoring techniques to meet individual learning needs.
• Monitor and track student progress, offering constructive feedback and encouragement.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to align tutoring sessions with classroom lessons.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
