Job summary

A Kid’s Place of Tampa Bay, Inc. is seeking a Tutor to provide individualized assistance to clients, helping them learn new concepts and complete assignments.

The Tutor will review topics, assist with homework and projects, and work to improve academic performance through personalized instruction and supportive guidance.

Qualifications

The Tutor is responsible for providing A Kid’s Place clients with individualized assistance to help them learn new concepts and complete assignments.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Review classroom and/or curriculum topics and assignments.
• Assist clients with homework, projects, test preparation, papers and other academic tasks.
• Work with clients to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom.
• Teach skills to improve academic performance.
• Other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to motivate and encourage clients to improve their academic performance.
• Creativity and flexibility in order to personalize their learning approach for individual clients.
• Maintain a professional demeanor to all staff and external parties.

Driver Eligibility & Insurance Guidelines

Applicants for positions are requires to meet and maintain our insurance carrier's driver eligibility requirements as a condition of employment, including:

• Be at least 21 years of agewith a valid, current driver's license that is not suspended, revoked, or expired.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record, including no more than three (3) moving violations and/or at-fault accidents (combined) within the past three (3) years, no more than three (3) license suspensions/reinstatements, and no major driving violations ((driving while intoxicated or under the influence (DWI/DUI/OWI/OUI), leaving the scene of an accident (hit and run), careless or reckless driving, manslaughter/homicide or assault through use of motor vehicle, fleeing/eluding a police officer, commission of a felony)) during that period.
