Job summary

Triton Environmental Consultants, Ltd. is seeking a Tutor to support middle and high school students across multiple subjects. You will provide targeted tutoring, enrichment, and exam prep to help students progress and regain confidence in learning.

Responsibilities include one-on-one and small-group sessions, adapting techniques to individual needs, and fostering a positive, collaborative study environment while maintaining accurate progress notes.

Qualifications

• Commit to at least 8 hours per week.
• Strong command of the subject area.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Able to relate to adolescents for effective support.
• Creative and differentiated instruction.
• Data entry accuracy.
• Demonstrates ethical responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students spanning grades 6-12 in select academic disciplines such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, French, Spanish, Language Arts, History, SAT/ACT Test prep, Economics, Psychology, and other related course needs.
• Manage group tutoring when needed.
• Passionate about the progress of the student’s development.
• Motivate students to have a positive relationship with learning.
• Contribute to a friendly and productive learning environment
• Model and encourage collaborative study strategies
• Provide help with homework, lessons, exam preparation and provide enrichment to our students of various grade levels
• Assess our student’s support needs and their difficulties
• Help our students catch up in school subjects where they have fallen behind
• Ability to minimally work 2 Achievement Center sessions per week
