Turtle Central Gift Shop Sales Associate (Part-time)

Description
The Bald Head Island Conservancy is an environmental non-profit organization that champions the sustainability of barrier islands through environmental research and stewardship. Bald Head Island (BHI) is a barrier island on the SE NC coast accessible only via ferry from Southport, NC. Staff are involved in conservation research, education programs, retail sales through our Turtle Central Gift Shop and operation of our well-known Sea Turtle Protection Program. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a part-time sales associate within our Turtle Central Gift Shop.

Primary Responsibilities
• Provide fantastic customer service, greet and assist customers, and communicate store specials and sales.
• Work the Point of Sale system/register with accuracy.
• Process new product orders.
• Perform store opening and closing functions.
• Restock inventory on the sales floor.
• Bending, stooping, reaching and lifting boxes up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

1+ year retail experience

Position Details
• Part-time position < 30 hours per week
• Ferry tickets and parking at mainland ferry terminal are provided
