Job summary

Zehnder Rittling is hiring a Machine Operator for our turret machine on the second shift (10 hours). The role involves set-up and operation to punch and prepare material per job orders, with a 4:00 pm–2:30 am schedule, Monday through Thursday. Overtime may apply Fridays and Saturdays.

Requires HS diploma and 1 year of related experience; basic tool handling and mechanical aptitude are important. We offer comprehensive health, dental, vision, a 401(k) with employer contributions, paid vacation

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/Equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year similar work experience desired.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with small hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Reviews job orders to determine customer specifications.
• Sets up turret and operates machine with water power, hydraulic systems, and zeroing the tool (bring it home).
• Modifies computer programs to meet job specifications.
• Sets up tooling specifications.
• Performs incoming inspection on sheared material prior to punching and documents nonconforming material.
• Operates turret at appropriate tempo to meet production quantities and quality standards.
• Performs first piece inspection to ensure proper setup and quality.
• Delivers finished punched product to next operation within cell.
• Orders tooling parts through CAD communications as needed.
• Maintains safety with PPE and supports team to reduce non-value added processes.
• Flexible to transfer to other cells as needed.
