Job summary

Barrick Gold Corporation is seeking an Assay Laboratory Technician at the Turquoise Ridge Analytical Lab in Winnemucca, NV. You will prepare ore, process, and exploration samples and support fire assay and wet lab operations in a collaborative team.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, basic computer skills, and willingness to work rotating night/day schedules. Prior lab experience is preferred but not required, with safety and reliability emphasized.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months experience in an analytical laboratory preferred.
• Familiarity with chemicals and laboratory procedures preferred.
• Knowledge of computer operation required.
• Exemplary safety and attendance record required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without reasonable accommodations required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize a heavy workload required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers in a team environment required.
• Rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Assay Laboratory Technician at our Turquoise Ridge Analytical Lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of ore samples, process samples, and exploration samples.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation of ore samples, process samples, and exploration samples
• The technician will also be utilized in fire assay, wet laboratory, and operation of analytical instrumentation
• Perform other duties as assigned
