The Turnover Janitor II is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents at Central City Concern’s Estate and Richard Harris (8x8) locations. Duties include performing daily tasks such as cleaning lobbies, hallways, unoccupied offices, bathrooms, common areas, and residential rooms. They also assist with leadership, training, oversight of crew, and conduct safety and quality inspections.

Hourly wage: $21.65/hour

Seniority Bid close: 03/17/2025 Close date: Open until Filled

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least six months experience in interior and exterior janitorial cleaning and pest control.
  • Training or ability to be trained in bio-hazard cleanup.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check. Ability to work in all C.C.C. Housing buildings and outside locations.
  • Adherence to drug-free workplace policies.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity and physical ability to perform duties.
  • Current driver’s license, pass DMV background check, acceptable driver as per Fleet Safety Policy, and complete driver’s training within 60 days.
  • Ability to carry an agency cell phone for work.
  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull, lift 10-30 pounds, and climb stairs.
  • Adherence to non-discrimination policies.
  • Ability to interact respectfully with diverse individuals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess buildings for hazards and fire code violations, submit maintenance requests.
  • Assist with leadership, training, and oversight of crew.
  • Clean various areas including lobbies, hallways, offices, bathrooms, and residential rooms.
  • Maintain inventory of beds, bed frames, and janitorial supplies.
  • Manage program storage rooms, recycling, and outreach with Case Managers.
  • Maintain SDS and teach staff access/use.
  • Perform outside cleaning, pest control, and follow-up cleanup.
  • Ensure safety and security of work areas and vehicles.
  • Complete paperwork, deliver supplies, and inventory tenant properties.
  • Attend meetings and training, adhere to safety procedures and confidentiality policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
