Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Turnover Specialist to coordinate and execute system turnover between Construction, CSU, and Client Operations. This field-based role requires ensuring documentation, testing, inspection, and transfer are completed per plan, with frequent interaction among construction crews, engineers, and client representatives.

The position emphasizes strong organizational skills, stakeholder coordination, and knowledge of EPC turnover and systems completion.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in a related field and 1–3 years of relevant experience, or 5–7 years in mission critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate turnover activities from Construction to CSU per approved procedures and milestones.
• Support development and maintenance of project databases, turnover strategies, and schedules.
• Monitor ITRs, quality documentation, punch items, and turnover deliverables for proper completion.
• Prepare and maintain Turnover Packages (TOPs) and System Turnover Packages (STOs) and ensure documentation is uploaded.
• Coordinate with Quality and Construction to obtain records, test documentation, and vendor information.
• Participate in turnover walkdowns, track punch items, and coordinate issue resolution with engineering and CSU teams.
• Support commissioning readiness reviews and startup planning, coordinating turnover priorities with schedules.
• Maintain turnover metrics and generate progress reports and management presentations.
• Identify schedule risks and documentation gaps; forecast turnover milestones and startup readiness dates.
• Assist in final handover to Client Operations, including transfer of manuals, warranties, and as-built docs.
