Job summary

Watterson is seeking a Reconstruction Technician to restore properties damaged by fire, water, mold, and storms. The role covers drywall repairs, carpentry, plumbing, and flooring installation, with support for mitigation teams. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in construction/handyman services, a valid driver's license, and familiarity with mitigation processes.

On-site with regular travel to job sites. This position offers comprehensive benefits and the opportunity to work on turnkey

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in construction/ handyman services.
• Valid Driver’s license in good standing without restrictions.
• Familiarity with mitigation processes for water, fire, and mold damage, preferred.
• Certifications such as OSHA, IICRC, etc., preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic drywall repairs, including patching, taping, and applying standard finishes.
• Conduct minor carpentry and cabinetry repairs to restore damaged structures.
• Execute basic plumbing tasks, such as fixing leaks or replacing fixtures, as needed.
• Install and repair flooring materials in affected areas.
• Restore properties to pre-loss condition following fire, water, mold, or storm damage (turnkey restoration).
• Assist mitigation technicians with water extraction, fire damage cleanup, and mold remediation efforts.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
• Reachable by phone during waiting to be engaged periods, but otherwise free to use your time for personal activities unless contacted to report for duty.
• Operate company vehicles, as necessary.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
