Job summary

Capital Electric, part of the Sonepar family, is hiring for a full-time, non-exempt assembler at the Westphalia Distribution Center. Build and assemble projects based on customer specifications using wiring diagrams, schematics and work orders to meet production schedules.

This role requires at least a high school diploma and 2+ years in electrical or mechanical work, plus strong organization, manual dexterity, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years electrical and/or mechanical background, including warehousing and assembly.
• Strong organization skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Power Point.
• Strong mechanical and analytical aptitude, with understanding of wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Good manual dexterity and experience with power and hand tools, engraving equipment.
• Ability to work well independently and across departments as a team.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• No vision hindrances in relation to color.

Responsibilities

• Assemble projects to customer and/or vendor specifications.
• Assist in production of various phases of assemblies and deliver turnkey projects with direction from management.
• Perform light manufacturing of multiple product categories in a fast-paced build shop following defined processes.
• Interact with Capital team members, other departments and vendors.
• Follow all Capital policies, guidelines and procedures (safety, ethics, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
