Job summary

Cessna Aircraft Company is seeking a Turning Machine Operator for the 3rd shift to set up and operate turning machines on experimental, tooling and production parts. You will handle diversified materials and select speeds, feeds, and tooling to match varying conditions.

The role requires action on a range of conventional, NC and CNC turning equipment and precision measurement. ITAR compliance and safety are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years performing the work above.

Job Description:

• Sets up and operates various turning machines performing a wide range of machining operations on experimental, tooling and production parts.
• Performs diversified work on all types of materials.
• May perform any operation within the capability of the machine.
• Selects speeds and feeds, devises tooling and performs layout for varying conditions and materials using a variety of attachments.

Tools & Equipment Used:

• Various conventional, NC and CNC turning machines and attachments. Machinists’ hand tools and a variety of precision measuring instruments.

Experience & Other Requirements:

• Three (3) years performing the work above.
